Association of Mountaineering Instructors

Our 2 day Roped Scrambles course is designed to give you the ropework skills and confidence to take on grade 2 or 3 scrambles. With one of our Mountaineering Instructors, you will be taught how to find information on a route; how and when to deploy the rope and protection; Anchor election and emergency procedures, should you ever need to retreat or call for help. We will provide all the equipment and guidance to give you the skills and knowledge to get you on your way to independence.
You don’t need to have used a rope but proven experience on graded (grade 1 or 2) scrambles is essential to ensure you get the most out of this advanced scrambling course. To ensure maximum learning, this course is run on a 1:2 ratio.
